Posted in Comment, Garden on 07/08/2006 08:41 pm by OrthoclaseOur neighbors recently installed a pond — it’s a pretty thing, with multiple levels and a recirculating fountain and plants and frogs.
And they leave it on. All. Day. And. All. Night. Long. In the quiet of the evening, I hear piddling noises and think it’s my dishwasher acting up again. Or I think that Plagioclase’s mother left her shower running again. Or I worry that the washer has overflowed again. Or… you get the picture.
Who said that ponds were relaxing?!
The good news is that I don’t have to wonder if I’d like to have a pond anymore. I’m unlikely to ever build a pond. Even a hundred feet away the sound is driving me bonkers.
